The Listening Academy
The Listening Academy will teach you to listen to yourself, listen to others and listen to Life.
Listen to yourself
You will learn to listen to yourself to deepen self-knowledge and self-understanding. This allows authenticity to grow. Authenticity is self-love.
Listen to others
You will learn and practice active listening with others, which strengthens relationships while also deepening your own inner work.
Listen to life
You will practice the valuable skill of listening to Life so you will spot those serendipities and happenings that come your way and are always for you.
The Listening Academy will help you understand the human journey of conscious awakening and to step fully into it.
And you will get to meet other amazing humans who have embarked on this important journey, too. At The Listening Academy we call them Soul Friends.
The work of Awakening is made practical and approachable through the development of these skills:

Train your mind
As we practice training our minds we learn to:
Observe our thoughts, and not take every thought so seriously.
Redirect our thoughts toward what we truly want and who we truly are.
Uncover the beliefs you hold (many unconscious) that are creating your perceptions of life.

Heal your wounds
In order to heal our wounds we learn to:
Work with emotional reactions as our teachers - knowing something is up for healing.
Notice and name our feelings in order to halt reactivity and deepen our self-understanding.
Learn the rare, valuable skill of how to actually feel a repressed or suppressed feeling so you can finally let it go.

Learn to love
It turns out love is a skill. As we learn to love we:
Practice cultivating positive states of being.
Build capacities such as patience and kindness. These are your true nature, which is why they fit so well.
Uncover the unchanging peace, happiness and joy that are within you.
Authenticity is self-love.
The Listening Academy is intended for humans who are:
Interested in their own growth and deepening their understanding of who they are.
Leaders who are willing to become more conscious of themselves and their impact on others.
Interested in coaching others.

The Class
With each class there are teachings, exercises to deepen the teaching, break-out time with another student for exploration, and homework that includes both reflection questions and simple, effective practices to take into your daily life to support your growth and transformation.

The Community
You will be in community with other humans who are doing their own inner work. TLA students have described the community aspect as sacred and a very important part of the class. It is rare and special to meet others who are authentically on their growth journey.

The Listening Academy is a wonderfully structured class that guides you through the concepts and teaching which Sara has developed in her many years of practice. The experience of learning more about yourself alongside classmates who are participating in the same exploration of Self creates an amazing community and the class will deepen how you walk through this world!

Ready to join?
Registration is open and the next class will begin in February, 2025.
Class is 2 hours long and we meet twice per month. Class begins in February and runs through early October. We take July off. You can choose between the Tuesday evening class or the Saturday morning class. Class is invitation-only and class size is capped. The cost is $3,600.

Every other Tuesday beginning Feb. 18 | 7-9pm CT

Every other Saturday beginning Feb. 22 | 10am-12pm CT
The Saturday morning class begins Feb. 22, 2025.
No one will be excluded due to an inability to pay. Please email me if you are interested and are in a time where finances are tight and we’ll sort it out. It is an empowering practice to talk about money. sara@sarakgates.com
